Bdiv and some cdiv girls received their nats medals today ._. and I felt sad D: and yeah duh, jealous ;D I still haven't got over it pahh.
Well well I've been asking my cousins about famous food places for geog but none of them are bothering replying me. Hmph.
I'm getting FAAATT!! HOW!? I knew a no exercise lifestyle wasn't right for me. Who ask me do so badly for term 1, now must quit swimming? SHITTZXC. I DONT WANT TO GET FAT!
DIET TIME :D For the first time in her life, Lydia goes on a diet.(: This way I'll also save money wheeee~

Oh dont' ask me how nationals went. It was a disaster. I screwed up. Or my legs screwed up. Whichever. We came in team 5th and my individual position was most probably past 100.>< Everyone says it's not my fault that we didn't get a team medal. But I say it is. How come last year I could do it? Wasn't my leg just a little less bad? Didn't it hurt damn badly as well? But I still gritted my teeth and ran through it. What's wrong with me this year?! Could I have pushed it? Would I have made a difference? I really have no idea. Maybe I shouldn't have run this year. Maybe I should have given others a chance. Maybe, I knew deep down that I wouldn't have made it this year. Maybe that was why I was motivating the others. I was motivating myself. Maybe that was why I told everyone to pray for me. I was unsure if I would make it. I've let everyone down, carrots, mr quek, myself.
I still feel like having interval training. I still feel like nationals hasnt come. I havent achieved anything from all the past trainings since I came back to train. Apart from a pain in my left leg. Where's my cdiv medal?! I'm never gonna get it now. Never. Fuck my leg, why does it have to be so effing lousy?!! Why is it always my legs getting injured and all screwed up?!
Okay, I went out for dinner and now I'm back. I should stop being so pissed at myself eh? Any suggestions as to what I can do so that next year's nationals won't be such a disaster? .__. I want my bdiv medal.

OHMYGOD. OHMYGOD. OHMYGOD.
NATIONALS IS IN SEVEN MORE DAYS, JUST SEVEN!
I THINK I COULD DIE OF STRESS JUST THINKING ABOUT IT.
Remember last year when i said "stress, stress, stress, stress, stress, stress.." before the run? I was damn stressed then. And i am again now. I'm so freaked out over the race><
Yesterday we had a very very wet training. It was pouring and pouring and pouring like craaazy! :D But it was fun.:D We did warm up, one round of the race route which is around 4.3-4.6km?? It wasn't pouring then. I can't remember if it was even raining lol. But then, after stretching, when we gathered at the start point, it started raining. Oh our training was supposed to be interval, where the race route is broken down into two. Not exactly two halves, after the first interval you're supposed to go back and start from somewhere, which means you run that part twice. Yeah so it's actually more than the route. I'm digressing again. Anyway. When we were reaching the end of the first half, it started pouring. Pouring pouring pouring like maaadd! My shoes felt like stones._. Oh yeah and the whole place was flooded. Oh i forgot to mention, the starting point for the race is crazy. It's on this patch of holey grass field ._. There're so many potholes!! I'll be surprised if no one sprains their ankle. Argh why am I telling everyone our training program anyway? It's boring. Haha.
Well.
We, that is valerie and I, sold a backpack instock today! YAY! Rejoice! :D Oh and we collected the landyards already.(:

yknow i had eye infection from saturday, and now it's still a bit uncomfortable ><
but now there's another pain to distract me haha .
both my eyes are injured ! ._.
right eye - infection,
left eye - got banged by flying water bottle ><
yup my friend was throwing it to someone and somehow the wind blew it toward my eye (nah the bottle was heavy, full) .
i was like talking to val then the bottle smack ! hit my poor eye .
at first it was damn scary kay !
it was like my eye muscles werent working !
i really couldnt open my eye luh !
then i was crying, ha, cause it was damn painful ! and i was super scared too ><
i mean, i couldnt open it !
then when my eye regained the use of its muscles, i was for a moment quite afraid to open it haha . i was worried about opening my eyes, and seeing nothing . yknow . going blind . LOL . i think too much .
anyway, i could only open my eye a little little bit, i dont know why it just couldnt go any further .
seychee captain and sihui and rebecca brought me to go tell mr quek ><
on the way there, (oh we were at the big BIG BIG field outside sports school, so had to walk very far .) rebecca was saying she thought my eye was bleeding ._. (smart rebby :D) and seychee was saying she thinks its just red . i was hoping seychee's right ha . bleeding eye sounds scary . ><
anyway, mr quek said it didnt look as though we had to rush to the hospital, and that yes it was bleeding >< internal bleeding lol .
freaky. freaky . freaky .
oh yah and the eye area there was swollen ><
anyway, pressed venus's cold water water bottle to my eye in the bus on the way back to school . (you wouldve thought i'd have phobia of water bottles by now eh ? :D) thanks venus ! :D
haha and thanks val for helping me take my stuff, sharon for helping me refill water, valencia for helping me keep my watch, and yuning and her parents for sending me down to nanhua primary (where i could catch 963) ! LOL !

i think i didnt put in my best today . i should try harder next time . hm . i suppose my ankle was irritating me and making me feel discouraged and everything but that's not an excuse eh ? haha . since when did i care so much about 'putting in my best', 'making the best out of travelling all the way to woodlands' ? since now i suppose . since the year ones start getting so crazy fast .

we were supposed to be testing 'absorbillity' of different types of tissue paper .
cut out 10cmx10cm squares of tissue paper .
so to have colored water effect, i used color markers to draw the 10cmx10cm haha .
as i have many different colors lol, me and pei came out with all sorts of different colors haha .
then people started following us lol .
when the water was colored orange, i told miss cheung its CARROTS .
miss cheung was ex RVCARROT :D

didnt do well .
then i dropped by lynn's house to collect hair straightener, went limbang to buy lunch then went home :D .

i've forgotten half the things tht happened since sunday .
anyway . tuesday .
i cant remember what happened during lessons, which means it was damn boring, but after that, we went to ccab for training .
cross training :D - i dont know how but i'm starting not to hate it so much :D thats supposed to be good fyi . haha .
at the bus stop after queensway (that's where we change bus), some lizard dropped onto my face ! ><
omg damn gross .
and its face was BLUE . >< >< ><
at first i thought it was headless luh ! >< >< >< ><
it was quite big >< >< >< >< ><
it was super hot fyi . super alot of sun ><
anyway it was supposed to be hill training that day . but our usual (too short according to mrquek ><) hill was uh .. unavailable .
so we used a slope inside botanic, which was longer ><
plus . some idiots were having picnic ._. we like run until want die le loh ! bleh .
but all in all i think i did quite well heh (:

then thurs we ran .
supposed to be a 'not so hard' session because there's supposed to be a race on saturday (tmr), but i still found it quite tiring .. ._.

i run better in the rain i've realised .
and during my first cross race, (it was also this bedok one)(last year), it was pouring damn heavily, and we had to take refuge at a leaking busstop lols .
we waited there for 1 hour 45 minutes i think haha .
then they decided to start the race anyway .
it was super flooded i remember .
whole shoe submerged :D
oh but they changed the busstop already haha . to a not so leaky one . :D
i really hope we win something tomorrow .
it'll be a nice way to start the year haha :D

yesterday i didnt blog about some interesting stuff tht happened . :D
we had anniversary until 930, there were lots of performances ! :D
dance performance was exceptionaly nice .
first was all guys de, ~~(but they all damn skinny sia D:)~~,
damn cool luh !
superduperly nice performance .
then after that was a guys plus girls de, also very very nice .
omg i'm very very envious of these dancers !
but i suppose some of them are envious of us crossers too lol .
there was lion dance, chorale performance, co performance, and a lot a lot of long boring speeches ._.
but all in all, it was a wonderful RV anniversary :D
then we went to the science lab for science prac .

after land training and half hour warm up ,
jon told us we had to do 5 events .
for me was all 4 50s , and 200m back >< !

haha! i'm in my dad's company's partner's conference room!
lol.
and its not as bad as i imagined.
i thought they'd be having some formal conference and i'd be idling in a corner, but the people are really friendly!
plus there are only two others apart from my dad haha.
one of them just took me on a tour around the factory.
quite interesting.
its a company that makes pumps O.O
and my dad's company (philips) needs some pump modification for their iron.

wahahah china has been really fun!
though i felt a little awkward at some points in time..
heres what i did.

17th dec - first day
arrived at guangzhou airport at 12 plus i think?
it wasnt as cold as i thought it would be (tho now it is!)
叔叔 and his driver came to fetch us from the airport.
went to 叔叔's house and rested for awhile i think, had lunch, then pap and i went shopping.
i dont think i really bought anything.
then went back for dinner and stayed in the house.
mostly i stayed in my room which was on the 2nd floor!(:
there's a third floor which is the garden.
oh then i went to 7 eleven to buy some food.
there's like zero snacks in the house?!
and those who know me know i can't survive like that. x)
i'm quite sure i've gained weight zz.
no exercise, and eat eat eat.
they eat more than 1 bowl of rice for every meal, with lots of other 菜。

18th dec - 2nd day
woke up early at 6, then cabbed to some place where we took a tour bus to zhaoqing.
yup with a tour group.
bus ride was abt 2 hours plus?
then went walk walk around 七星园（？）
super fun!
-okay i shall continue later tonight when i come home. going out now-
went into caves, temples, and saw the 7 mountains.
the air there was super fresh, unlike guangzhou's, damn polluted.
had to boat across some very clear rivers, and through a cave.
at all the temples those monks kept pestering my dad to get his fortune told haha.
some were more straight forward - they just asked for donations.
the first one that asked my dad to get his fortune told, my dad agreed to.
at the end of everything he kept asking my dad to donate money hahaha.
and my dad being a stingy money faced refused to.
damn hilarious.
maybe my dad looks rich O.O
oh and we had our pictures 弄ed onto cups.

the 风景 at the place was very nice too heh.

zz shopping with my dad is horrible.

secondly he just wants to walk and walk and walk - if you stop him to look at stuff he gets irritated.
thirdly in some weird logic when you stop he expects you to buy stuff, and if you dont, he indirectly says youre wasting time .__.
so in the end we went back at around 7.
oh we left the hotel at 4plus.
the other couple from the tour at our hotel went out till 11plus luh!
there was that much to look at at zhaoqing.
and thanks to my dad we didnt look.

shopping would have been much much more fun heh(:
anyway at least i bought 3 pairs of socks, 1 pair at 2 china $ haha!

19th dec - 3rd day
met the tour group people then went to some mountain.
forgot the name heh.
took the tram/bus up some way of the mountain, then got down then climb climb.
at the same time see 风景。
the 风景 there was quite pretty too.
we climbed up, then climbed down.
there was this beautiful waterfall/spring/lake thingy.

yknow there was this old old ancient couple with us, around mid 60s-70s (okay not that ancient)!
they climbed the mountains and everything at same speed at the rest of us young people O.O
super pro!
and they were like super happy and cheerful taking pics of everything haha.
when we were finished with the mountain, we bused back to guangzhou.
Then went back to 叔叔's house.
Hahaha my dad no stamina.
aft climbing mountain he was super tired haha.

20th dec - 4th day
went to guangzhou's largest bookshop with tang lu (cousin） and pap.
tanglu can speak english!
yay!
at least there's someone i can speak to (apart from dad) in something other than chinese ._.
hes 19 i think, and studying in some university called 中大 for short.
ranked 10th in china i think.
bought some books at the bookstore then went for lunch.
lunch was some sort of reunion.
met people i havent seen in years, and people i havent seen before heh.
food was yummy.
then aft that went 'touring' around guangzhou with shushu, shu chen (cousin) baobao (small little cute cousin), nainai, and pap.
just for a short while.
then went back shushu's house sleep and eat and read books(:

21st dec - 5th day
slack ard in the morning.
went out for lunch.
then went zoo!
funfunfun.
the first one was a safari.
drive the car through then see animals.
some of the not dangerous ones were just roaming around.
like camels, ostriches, peacocks, deers, and all those weird birds.
there was one time when one camel just stood infront of us and refused to move for a whole 10 minutes haha!
then another time when an ostritch stopped in between our car and shushu's friend's car, and LAYED AN EGG O.O
still got alot alot more but i shant say now haha.
then we went to the other side where its a normal walk on foot zoo.
many many animals.
there were PANDAS and KOALAS O.O
first time seeing them.
yknow you could hold a baby white tiger and feed it from a milk bottle in that zoo?
but need to pay alot alot and need to wait till the tiger's hungry.
i shall just post this first and continue later on or some other day.

zz today i damn stupid luh.
i was supposed to wake up at 550.
but because i wanted to say bye to ben, i set alarm at 530.
oh his flight was supposed to be at 6.
yup so when i woke at 530, i was like wondering why i set so early.

at macritche during the 8km route.
i was alr reaching 4km!

i couldnt even walk properly at first.
then aft tt slowly can walk, and hobble-jog.

i went out with bellooo just now!

bout ytd's race.
its th newbalance realrun.
i did 10km.
th route was damn tough can!
okay lah just hot.
and th slanted beach part.
tt part sucked bigtime!!
ask anyone who took part.
plus i got ankle injury!
my left ankle was hurting like siao!
i walked more than half of th beach part.

let me describe th whole thing in detail.
we were supposed to meet at dover mrt de busstop tts facing changi.
at 6am.
so i woke up at 5am to get ready.
was gonna leave hse when sharon called.
she said she was at boonlay interchange and th mrt wasnt open!
hhahahahh.
so i got my mum to send me and she got her dad i think?
anw reached dover at 5.55am.

th netballers were there too!
they took part as well.
so at 6.10(?) we boarded th bus and set off for changi!
apparently mrtan didnt give gd instructions so we got lost!
hahaah.
as in th bus driver got lost.
so we reached at 7.10(?)
and half of us havent wore th numbertag.
so mrquek got angry.
we were late, we strolled in laughing and joking, and we did not have our bibs on.
he quickly ushered th 10kms away. (our race started at730 while 15kms started at 745)
we jogged to th aircon place near th starting point to stretch a bit.
some ppl even went to th toilet!-.-
but they made it in the end.(:
yah so at ard 7.20(?)
some stupid warm up thing started and we went to th starting point.
i kena shocked sia.
there were like at least a few hundred or even a few thousand ppl infront of us!!
and we were right at th back.-.-
so we squeezed to like somewhr near th middle bah..cos th front vehveh packed plus race gonna start le.
even then there were hundreds of ppl infront.
then at exactly 7.30 they sounded th horn.
which means start.
and we all just stood there.

i mean there were so many ppl infront of us.
so th ppl infront move off first then th next and th next.
i think we stood thr for at least a minute before even startin to jog!?
damn funny.
nv experienced anything like it before.
as in such a big event.
then we jogged for a few minutes before passing th starting line.
so by then th infront ppl all run farfar away le lah.
when we finally crossed th start line there were still many ppl infront of us so me and wanxin tried to squeeze thru them.
then got more space le we try to pia at th side.
ohya btw tt place was like.. well they called it 'trail'.
its like a large piece of flat ground with this neverending 'trail'.

i looked as far as i could and i still saw ppl.

then thr were marshals(?) saying 10km turn right 15km turn left.

th 15kms started 15min later than us and some african guy managed to overtake me. -.-

at th forest pavement part, we could see some 10kms running in th opposite direction and i was thinking woots! we can turn right then can turn back le.

WHICH WAS HORRENDOUS btw.

th beach was slanted okay.
like you know th water tt part is always lower dn than th shore there right?

stupid!?
so its like one foot lower than th other, and youre running lopsided.
on top there got flat ground dont let us run, make us run on stupid slopes.
PLUS its sand.
you know th feeling of running in sand?
its like your feet get stuck in th sand and you cant pull them out.
th worst thing is tt i have some sort of ankle + knee injury so my leg was hurting me like siao.

i'm sad.
i wont be training for 3weeks.
and if my ATTITUDE TOWARDS CHINESE doesnt improve, i still wont be training after the 3weeks.
i'll be studying CHINESE.
by then exams would have alr ended.
say aft the 3weeks i 'improve' i will get my swimming stuff back, but if i tuibu then it'll go back to my mum's office.
which means i'll be studying through the holidays.

my backstroke felt terrible like a few days before the meet and i kept doing 41s during those trainings so i suppose 38s is not too bad lah.

it poured heavily!!
so it flooded outside the school.

cid started getting fun the wk before last!
we started to do the practicals instead of learning how to search for info on the net, how to determine reliable or unreliable websites..blahblahblah.

my cid's chem. and we made ester. medicated oil which turned out a disaster.(:
while boiling the substance, one person had to shake the flask, while another holds the hot beaker with a cloth. i held the beaker. the cloth touched the wire gauze. and CAUGHT FIRE. it was flaming you know. hahaha. then i faster squash it on the table, putting out the flame. hahhaha. the hole is about the size of your fist! for the whole lesson we were trying to hide the hole from mdm ong. HAHAHAH.
the stupid goggles i had to wear.

so i took them out halfway.
then teacher saw me.
